Application:
Salcaprozate sodium (SNAC) is an oral absorption enhancer. It can increase the lipophilicity caused by non-covalent macromolecular complexation, thereby enhancing the passive transcellular penetration of small intestinal epithelial cells. It has the potential to be used as a delivery agent for oral forms of heparin and insulin. As shown in the following figure, it plays a role in the oral formulation of semaglutide.
Storage:
Store at 4°C in a sealed container, away from moisture; when dissolved in a solvent, store at -80°C for 6 months; at -20°C for 1 month.
